Meet The Vendor: Nu Skin @ Braehead Wedding Exhibition 2024
Could you please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background in the wedding industry?
Hello, I’m Victoria. I started in the wedding industry as a wedding photographer in 2018 but have always been really interested in skincare. As a photographer, I speak to people often who are frustrated by their skin and who bounce around from brand to brand and product to product without much success. I want to change that.
My skin improvement journey started in 2013 but was massively enhanced by a game changing device I bought in 2020. When the opportunity came around to help others to improve their skin, I realised it was the perfect tool to help brides get picture perfect skin on their wedding day.
The great thing is there are other devices perfect for brides, grooms, mother of bride/ groom, bridesmaids – the whole wedding party really – as well as products which fully complement and support the journey to healthy skin (and to assist with the effects of ageing.)
What inspired you to become involved in the wedding industry and participate in events like the Braehead Wedding Exhibition?
I genuinely want to help people.
I always wear minimal makeup and so on my wedding day I was insistent that my skin looked as natural as possible. I wore a BB Cream rather than foundation and felt I looked like the best version of me on my wedding day. In 2013 my skin was so bad (from acne), I was using diluted Dettol to try and kill the bacteria and reduce the itchiness. Obviously, I don’t recommend this but that’s how desperate I was. If you’d told me then that I’d be comfortable wearing no makeup and wearing barely any and feeling amazing on my wedding day, I would never have believed it.
Being on the other side of the camera and editing photos, I’ve seen the difference healthy skin can make to the application of makeup and self-confidence. For me, participating in events like the Braehead Wedding Exhibition help me to help people gain the skin that until now they’ve only ever dreamed of. I don’t see good skin as something just for your wedding day: if you can establish a routine that can be maintained and improves how you see yourself, it sets you up for the rest of your life.
Can you share with us what your company specializes in or what products/services you offer for couples planning their wedding?
