Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration behind it and when you launched it?
The Influential Woman Experience is an exclusive and private community that brings together extraordinary women in a soulful space of connection. Here, inspiration flows, empowerment blooms, and each woman’s unique light is elevated through a journey of personal growth and transformation.
In this sacred space, your unapologetically authentic self is not only welcomed but celebrated. Free from judgment or negativity, the atmosphere is filled with love, joy, and abundance—allowing you to feel safe and empowered to let your greatness shine.
The brilliance of the Influential Woman Experience lies in the connections you’ll make with other high-achieving women who are just as passionate about growth, collaboration, and uplifting one another as you are. It’s about building a network of remarkable women who are eager to support, learn from, and inspire each other.
Whether we gather online or at the luxurious Cameron House, these experiences provide the perfect opportunity to share your challenges, successes, wisdom, and mindset with other like-minded women, while also gaining invaluable insights from their journeys.
Paula Wingate wanted to meet high achieving women so she could learn from their mindset, skills, knowledge and spiritually. She also gets a buzz by seeing amazing women connect with other incredible women and wanted to create a safe sanctuary for women to take off their masks and truly be themselves without any judgement. The only places she could find this was in London or America and couldn’t commit to travelling due to having 2 young children under 5.
When Paula started to understand how big this community could be, she asked Mary McClung to come in as the joint business owner of Influential Woman.
We launched in July 2024.
Since then we have grown from strength to strength
Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey?
Always ensure your business is cash flow rich so when a bank offers you money or grant shows up, take it even if you don’t need it and put it in a savings account because when you truly need cash, the bank will potentially not lend it to you.
What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it?
Becoming homeless in 2014 and learning that making money is a skill and isn’t luck. I then challenged myself to learn at least 35 minutes a day on how to make money every day for a full year. This resulted in me growing a 6 figure business within my first full business trading year which helped me to get back on my feet again. Also I met the love of my life and we went on our first date and I’ve never gone back home (well to my car or my aunties where I was staying haha)
What is your number 1 business tip for success?
Grow yourself into the person you need to become so you can grow your business to the level you would love it to be.
What are the big business goals for the year?
Influential Woman has set themselves a goal to help 1m high achieving ladies to feel safe enough to be their unapologetic authentic self and help them connect with other extraordinary women.
How can the GGC Business membership help?
We would love to synergise with GGC and bring members to experience glasgow girls club too. At the same help us spread our business message. We super love giving and we would be more than happy to sponsor your events and give you free tickets for our Influential Woman Experience at Cameron House.
What’s the dream?
Having a global community of high achieving women mixing with other amazing women and feeling safe to be their unapologetic authentic selfs. We would super love to see women feel like a high valuable woman and knowing their self worth and using their personal power to walk into their greatness.
