Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration be-hind it and when you launched it? Tweetiepie Media was launched as a sole trader company back in 2011 before gaining premises and changing to a Limited company in 2013. I wanted to work for myself and have a greater variety in what I did day to day. I am someone who looks to continually develop different skills and grow as a person. The developments of the business and building a team have enabled me to do this. Now TPM has a core team within our office and a number of contractors we work with on a daily basis – delivering a variety of digital projects for clients throughout the UK. Our core services include website design and development, social media management and training,
Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey? Always keep an open mind about people and ideas.
What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it? Coming through covid and building the business back up again – the industries we have worked with have completely shifted and changed, however this has been a positive step for us as a business. It has given us greater diversity, helped us develop our own skills and restructure the business for future growth.
What is your number 1 business tip for success? Understand when to say no.
What are the big business goals for 2023? We have ambitious plans to increase our turnover and profit.
How can the GGC Business membership help? I am looking to widen my network, make new connections and help other people and businesses where I can as well.
What’s the dream? Having a better work / life balance and work with more interesting and varied clients
Fave mantra to get you buzzed up for business Not sure if I can use this but if it is allowed and can asterisk the bad word in it? I’ve attached the mantra to this email.
Shout out to another local business you admire? Claire from Avante VA has been a great help to our business over the last couple of years. She has set up great processes and trained, taken a weight off our shoulders and attended to aspects very swiftly. She then went onto train our new admin team member on the processes and aspects she was doing for us remotely.
