Meet the Member – Jennifer Anne – The Power of You
‘Meet The Member’ is our blog series where we get to know the members of our business club a little better. In this post, we catch up with Jennifer Anne – The Power of You
Jennifer Anne – The Power of You – because it all starts with you, you only have lasting influence and power over your own thoughts, actions, emotions, feelings but change these and like a ripple affect it changes how others respond to you. You alone have the power to affect and implement personal change with support. As an energy worker I know that our bodies are so much more than the sum of all our parts. We have 11 systems which run our body, with each interacting with the others seamlessly. Out with our physical body we also have emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, which collectively are known as our energy body. We also have an energy field (sometimes called the aura), which extends beyond our body and feeds information back to the body, mind and emotions. We now understand that we have energy running through our body and its the quality, health and wellbeing of this that determines the quality of our life. This is not a new concept as in other traditions this energy is already recognised as Prana, Qi or chi. Imbalances in this energy deeply affect our physical, emotional and mental health and can affect our spirit too. Every living thing has energy, and it is my purpose and passion to work within these concepts and learnings to deliver the best treatments for my clients.
I started looking for answers after a GP told me that being so exhausted was to be expected when working, looking after after a family, as all the medical data suggested that I was ok. I could barely drag myself about and I was young. “Heaven help me in old age” I thought. I was signposted to try Kineseology and it changed my world! After 20 years I have now read, attended courses, trained and certified in quite a few alternative therapies and feel that I can be of help to those searching for change. There is so much more out there than we thought to help our wellbeing and I am constantly learning and evolving.
Best piece of advice I was given is “the best place to search for shoes is in a street full of shoe shops”. From this I took that it doesn’t matter how many other therapists there are out there, there is room for everyone.
Biggest lesson I’ve learnt – not matter how much you love someone or try to help them through their pain, only they can change it – if they want to, you can not do it for them.
Number 1 business tip is to recognise when you need to ask for help and find the people who can.
Goals going forward – to be seen and make people aware that I exist and what I offer.
GGC Business membership can help by taking a look, helping me boost my media presence by following me and actually taking a leap of faith and trying a session.
The dream is to give up the day job and run my business full time successfully and be financially independent.
Fave mantra – I am enough.
Really admire Jacq Munro – the kindest person I know – with a depth of knowledge on therapies and business that is second to none and an amazing therapist, talented teacher and entrepreneur all in one that I have ever met.
